FAQ

Short answers, including the ones that are not flattering.

This page is short on purpose. The long version is being rewritten. The product changed on 29 September 2026 and it is better to say less and have all of it be true than to leave the old words up.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no account to make. You get a claim code and that is the whole of it.

What if I lose the claim code?

The pack is gone. The code is never stored here, only a hash of it, so there is nothing for anyone to look up or reset. That is the same property that keeps your pack private, and this is the side of it that hurts.

Is this gambling?

A pack is a random card and you can lose money on it. Whether that is gambling where you live is a question about your law rather than about our wording, and you should assume it might be. Most pulls are worth less than the pack cost.

Can I make money doing this?

No, and the numbers say so rather than us. A pack's expected card is worth a few per cent more than the pack, and a card sells back for 85 to 94 per cent of its insured value, so the round trip loses. Open a pack because you want the card.

Do you hold my Monero?

Never. A swap provider receives your payment and sends us dollars, and another swap sends your payout. Collector.xmr holds no Monero key at either end.

Are you Collector Crypt?

Collector.xmr is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Collector Crypt or the Monero Project.

Can I have the physical card posted to me?

Not through Collector.xmr. Shipping a card means giving a real name and a real street address to a courier, which is the one thing this site is built not to involve itself in.

Is it open yet?

Packs are not on sale. Collector.xmr is asking Collector Crypt for permission to sell their packs before selling a single one, and nothing opens until they answer.
